CVS was having a huge sale So I picked up a stay matte powder and a blush that I've decided is my most favorite eyeshadow now....I know dont ask lol the powder is in the color sandstorm and the blush is in the color spring flower.

And then my heart ring from this little boutique, its so summery and fun and it really light up when the sun hits it!

Tending to a sick child today and not feeling so hot myself. I wanted to get a whole lot done today but all Ive seemed to accomplish is cleaning the refrigerator out. Better than nothing right? I figured while I'm sitting here "here being my favorite corner nook of our sectional" I would go ahead and post my February favorites =)

1. Clean and clear Morning burst scrub

(ahhh I do love my merky colors)

(I have been using this so much and for a dollar you cant beat it =)

(I dont really care where i buy them from but I am loving them this month)

6 .Betrayed, the second book in the house of the night serious.
(I have got to get the rest of these!)

(men in next to nothing..need I say more...really?)

(makes my house smell amazing and edible!)

Happy mothers day indeed.

So I woke up today and started off my happy mothers day by eating a boston cream pie toaster strudel, nom nom nom, If thats not a good start to a day I don't know what is! My sweet husband cleaned up for me the whole morning to get ready for the dinner were going to have later tonight with my mum and her boyfriend richard, I got to sit on the couch and paint my nails "OPI - Bubble bath" and that couch is pretty much where I've been until I just got up and made the double layered coffee cake we'll have for desert tonight, I hope it tastes as amazing as it smells, I believe another "Nom nom nom nom" Is in order =) My mother got me the most beautiful card & Faux flowers I have ever seen and I wont be scared my cats or child will eat them...we'll the child might still..he's questionable =P I'm going to post pictures of the flowers and coffee cake with the recipe and possibly some pictures from tonight when everyone gets here. Happy mothers day you beautiful women, I'm so proud of us <3

My Latest obsession... permanent obsession.

If you guys follow me on facebook or on the pouring pot message board "Hello ladies!" you will know how much I absolutely adore this woman, her family and her candles. I have not touched my plug ins or a department store candle or bottle of febreeze since I started ordering from her, yes Its that serious. She has over 500 scents and some of the most amazingly delicious looking candles you will ever see In your life. I am not kidding when I tell you I can light one candle...thats it just one and it will fill up my entire apartment with yummy goodness in minutes. I've already gotten my mother, aunts and grandmother hooked. If you ladies get a chance to stop by and peek around her website I promise you wont regret it! and no I don't get paid or receive free products "other than stuff Iv'e won on the message board" which is another place t stop by If you'd like to chat with the most amazing group of long distance friends a girl could ask for  and Victoria does candle give aways all the time. I just wanted to share because I know I'm not the only girl who enjoys a wonderful smelling home, there's just something comforting about walking into a home full of nostalgic smells that remind you of your favorite seasons, fruits, places and the people you shared them with <3

So Tim AKA "Amazing husband of the moment" Just surprised me tonight with an early mothers day present, I have read the entire Sookie Stackhouse series and this is the newest addition, it just came out!! So I'm off to bed with this wonderful gift in my hot little hands for a bot of light raunchy reading, thank you my dear husband <3

So I went to the lush store on Christmas eve to get gift cards for a few people and A strawberry massage bar for myself =x and the girl at the desk gave me two awesome sized samples of two different soaps I've been wanting to try "Rockstar" and "The godmother".....Needless to say I am going to buy huge chunks of both of these very soon. I wrote the websites discriptions of the products under them and they are DEAD on...except i think rockstar smells like cotton candy and the godmother smells like redvine, the perfect sugary sweet scent all GIRLS smell like of course <3

Oatmeal-Cinnamon Muffins...without the guilt ;)

Ingredients

• 1 cup old-fashioned oats
• 1 cup buttermilk
• 2 eggs, lightly beaten
• 1 cup all-purpose flour
• 1/3 cup packed brown sugar
• 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
• 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
• 1/2 teaspoon baking soda

Directions

1. In a large bowl, combine oats and buttermilk; let stand 5 minutes. Stir in eggs. Combine flour, brown sugar, baking powder, cinnamon and baking soda; stir into oatmeal mixture just until moistened. Fill greased or paper-lined muffin cups two-thirds full. Bake at 400 degrees F for 18-20 minutes or until muffins test done. Cool in pan 10 minutes before removing to a wire rack.

P.S. You can add/sneak any fruit or nuts you'd like to these, I might even try shredded carrots next time <3

Into this base of rolled oats you can stir just about any dry ingredient imaginable: other grains, like flakes of rye or wheat; dried fruit; spices, from cinnamon to vanilla to nutmeg to cardamom; orange zest, crystallized ginger, peanut butter, even chocolate chips. And of course, any nut or seed you can think of: I favor a combination of cashews, sunflower seeds, sesame seeds and pecans.

Ingredients

6 cups rolled oats (not quick-cooking or instant)

2 cups mixed nuts and seeds: sunflower seeds, sesame seeds, chopped walnuts, pecans, almonds or cashews

1 cup dried unsweetened shredded coconut, optional

1 teaspoon ground cinnamon, or to taste

Dash salt

1/2 to 1 cup honey or maple syrup, or to taste

1 cup raisins or chopped dried fruit, optional Method

1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In a bowl, combine oats, nuts and seeds, coconut, cinnamon, salt and sweetener. Place on a sheet pan and put in oven. Bake for 30 minutes or a little longer, stirring occasionally. Mixture should brown evenly; the browner it gets without burning, the crunchier the granola will be. 2. Remove pan from oven and add raisins or dried fruit. Cool on a rack, stirring once in a while until granola reaches room temperature. Transfer to a sealed container and store in refrigerator; it will keep indefinitely.
